February is one of the two biggest months of the year. It's not just because of Valentine's Day, or because the weather will (hopefully) start picking up. February means FASHION WEEK! We've already given you a couple of hints about what's going to be big on the runways this season, but here's your definitive guide to which fashion capital to hit when.
NEW YORK: 9th-17th Feb
Word on the street is there are two shows to watch. Calvin Klein has a new Chief Creative Officer in Raf Simons, so we can't wait to see where the looks will be heading this year. It's been kept super secret: all we know is that it'll feature men's and women's ready-to-wear looks. The other big name is, of course, Yeezy. Kanye's not having the easiest ride at the moment, so who knows what he'll manage to pull out.
Don't forget to check out some of the smaller, new names. If streetwear is your thing, keep an eye out for MISBVH. If you're more interested in things for a new 9-to-5 look, Club Monaco is building up it's name.
LONDON: 17th-21st Feb
The fashion world will be staying focused on New York for the time being. The word on the street hasn't extended to The Strand quite yet, but we've still got a couple of hints for you. Richard Malone has been tipped as one to watch in the programme, as well as Halpern. A personal favourite to watch out for will always be Versus Versace, set for the Saturday Night, but all of the British classics have a showing over the week to match your taste.
MILAN: 22nd-28th Feb
Oh Italy. Thank you. Milan's fashion week will feature those brands closest to any fashionista's heart. Prada, Fendi, Diesel, Emporio Armarni, Versace....my heart swells at the thought. If anyone is lucky enough to hit Milan's fashion week, I'm so JEALOUS! Please let me know EVERYTHING!
PARIS: 28th Feb- 8th Mar
Paris. My home away from home. Always as beautiful each time I go back. Paris' fashion week is possibly the biggest, which makes sense since it's the last. Saint Laurent, Paco Rabanne, Christian Dior, Vivienne Westwood, Nini Ricci, John Galliano, Givenchy, Stella Mccartney, Hermes, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Mui Mui and Louis Vitton. Everyone who is ANYONE has to make it to Paris.
I can't wait to see the new lines, and I can't wait to build my collections around what'll be up and coming. Look out for my updates dolls, I'll definitely keep you in the loop.
Until next time ladies...
